\u2018Human beings' intellect is naturally inhabited by pride, and their heart is naturally quick to react with anger. Pride and anger are two violent poisons that are difficult to neutralize, and yet their antidotes do exist. The antidote to pride is humility, and the antidote to anger is gentleness. Gentleness and humility are two virtues that make it possible to find solutions to the most difficult situations. Contrary to what many people tend to believe, those who know how to manifest these virtues are not weak. For those with a heart warmed by their soul and an intellect enlightened by their spirit, walk on the path of power. People who believe that cultivating humility and gentleness will necessarily make them slaves or victims are wrong; instead, they accumulate a supply of power that enables them to better defend themselves and gain the upper hand in the name of good.\u2019 Daily Meditation, February 21, 2019

Serving others makes us grow<\/span> <\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u2018The idea of serving others does not strike many people as immediately attractive; it is even humiliating, and that is because they do not know what true service is. Otherwise, why would Jesus have said in the Gospels, \u2018The greatest among you will be your servant\u2019? Those who are great never find it demeaning to be at the service of others, because their greatness is of the spirit. They know that no task will make them lose their nobility, their true greatness. Jesus was great because he knew how to be infinitely small. He who said, \u2018I am the truth\u2019 never asked anyone to bow down before him to serve him \u2013 on the contrary, he made himself the humble servant of all people. Why? Because truth is charged with immeasurable energy. And so it has to be presented carefully for others to receive it and assimilate it without it causing any damage. \u2018Those who are truly great accept to serve others to help them see more clearly and to find the best solutions to their problems, even if these problems seem insignificant to them. Spiritual Masters and the wise do not fear lowering themselves to the level of those who are small, weak and ignorant, for they know that in doing so, they will not descend from the summit they have reached within themselves. They never use their superiority to dominate others. They know that the higher they have risen, the more humility they must show. Having superior moral and spiritual virtues is all well and good, but it does not suffice. For the next question is that of their attitude and behaviour. No knowledge or spiritual power gives them the right to dominate others and to impose themselves on them. May each person rise as high as they can, but only within themselves; on the outside they must not put themselves up on a pedestal. There is no sense in elevating themselves if it is to later trample on their fellow human beings.
