Light is the very essence of the universe, and by working with our thoughts we can extract a few particles from it and assimilate them into our own substance. We find this light in the sun especially, but also in the air, in water and in all the foods we use to nourish ourselves with each day. Once we possess a little of this light, we have the potential to magnify it. How? By making it merge with divine light. This merging is what it longs for more than anything. But there are certain conditions: in our soul, the path that leads to divine light has to be cleared of all impurity, as impurities prevent merging from taking place. By purifying ourselves we dispel the obstacles that separate our light from the light of God, until one day they become one single light, and then nothing will be able to separate them.

Light - the most powerful means of connecting with the divine world
Light is such a subtle substance that it cannot be weighed or even touched, but it is light that provides access to the spiritual world. This is why we must seek light and remember every day to fill our being with a pure, radiant quintessence. Initiates, for whom light is the only reality, constantly work with it and focus on it, so as to establish contact with the divine world. Their practices and their teaching can be summarized in this way: the only truly effective means of relating to heaven is the one we ourselves are able to create when we weave threads of light between that world and us. Once these threads have been woven, our inner heaven and earth come into contact with each other and make exchanges that bring us fulfilment.

Don’t say you have no way of knowing whether you are on the right path within. You actually have at least one criterion – light. When you are meditating or when you experience a moment of great spiritual elevation, you can sometimes feel everything within you becoming bright, as if the lights had been switched on or the sun had just risen. You might even have the impression this light is radiating from your face, your hands and your whole body. Why? Because as soon as you are able to reach the higher regions of your being where purity and love reign, a light begins to shine within you. You can feel it and see it, and everything lights up. If, on the other hand, you give way to selfish and unhealthy thoughts, feelings and desires, you don’t even need to look in a mirror to realize it; you can physically feel the shadows on your face. So don’t forget this one criterion – light. And each day, try to experience states of spiritual awareness that will give you this sensation of light.

Centres of light
Centres of light must be established throughout the world in order to form a link between heaven and earth. These centres are living conduits through which divine blessings descend for all human beings. Happily, such centres already exist, because without them the earth would already be prey to all the dark and destructive forces. Do you truly wish to help your family, your country and the entire world? Everywhere you go, you should do everything possible to create these centres of light by means of which the earth enters into contact with heaven. To establish such centres is the most glorious work you can undertake: to help all human souls benefit from your efforts, so that as a result of your work they may receive spiritual nourishment and joy.

You think it is not possible to bring light and peace to all the people on earth, as there are so many of them! Of course, if you look at it like that, you’re right. But when you know certain methods, it becomes possible. Try, for example, to imagine humanity as a single being. Yes, imagine the whole world as a being, next to you, and you are holding their hand and sending them lots of love. The tiny particles that spread out from your soul at that moment move off in all directions in space and spread to all human beings, inspiring in them the most generous and brotherly thoughts and feelings. In this way, what you are doing for this being you are imagining has an effect on men and women all over the world. If there were hundreds, thousands, of us doing this exercise, a new breath, a divine breath, would pass through all creatures, and one day they too would feel inspired by an ideal of light and peace.
